To the concerned citizens of the proposed Toledo Bend water sales to Texas,
I appreciate your interest in the proposed water sale. I agree that all points of interest should be heard and reviewed before a recommendation is made to Governor Jindal. I wish to express my personal thanks for all the interest shown by so many people who live on or depend on the economic benefits created by Toledo Bend.
I will meet with Governor Jindal soon to discuss with him all the issues surrounding the proposed sale. As you may know, any decision to sell water will be made by Governor Jindal and not the local SRA or the Louisiana Legislature.
